School Spring Carnival

Pakenham Bowls Club had the privilege of host the Schools Spring Carnival on Thursday 19th September. 

There were 5 games in each section with a 30 minute time limit for juniors, intermediate & seniors comprising over 70 boys & girls. 

There were six schools taking place.

Gippsland Grammar, Newhaven College, Beaconhills College Pakenham, St Paul’s Anglican Grammar Warragul, Beaconhills College Berwick and St Paul’s Anglican Grammar Traralgon. 

The day in all sections was very competitive with the end results being very close, in the 

Junior section – Newhaven College took home the flag.

In the Intermediate section – Gippsland Grammar took home the flag.

In the Senior section – Beaconhills College Pakenham took home the flag. 

The overall winner was Beaconhills College Pakenham.

This is the second year that the Pakenham Bowls Club has been privileged to run this carnival and will now be an ongoing yearly event. 

A very big thanks to Karen Oosthuizen for organising the event along with the teachers from each school. 

Also a big thanks to the PBC volunteers, David Moore, David Laird, Michael Hahn, Jim Williams, Bill Bosch and Russell Jones who gave up their day to give guidance to the students.
