PBC Welcomes Neville Brown as Head Coach

Hello Members,

It’s been a busy period since pennant finished and it’s with great pleasure that I announce Neville Brown as the new Head Coach of the Pakenham Bowls Club for the next two seasons.

Neville joined and played in our 2023/24 pennant season with the Lions, bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Neville’s list of achievements as a coach and player stands for itself and I’m excited to see Neville share his knowledge, expertise and skills with all members over the coming years.

This is an exciting period and chapter for the Pakenham Bowls Club.

Playing Highlights

  • Currently ranked no.1 in Victoria and no.9 in Australia
  • Runner up 2004 Vic Open singles final
  • Runner up 2023 Vic Open triples final
  • Runner up 2022 Aust Open O60’s final
  • Last 8 in Aust Open singles, pairs, and fours
  • Won 2 Victorian Master pairs titles.
  • Qualified 3 times for Aust Indoor Championship
  • Winner Yallourn/Newborough Classic singles
  • Multiple winners of many of Victoria’s biggest tournaments

2023 – 2024 Season 

  • During the last Season playing for Pakenham Bowls Club, Neville in his fours team won  the Eastern Ranges Bowls Region Fours went on to represent the ERBR at Champions week in Bendigo, and was also chosen to Skip in the ERBR region sides.

On behalf of the Pakenham Bowls Club Board and Members, I would like to welcome Neville Brown to the club as head coach and look forward to his contribution over the coming years – Go Lions !
