It was a great game on Monday night at Glen Waverley between Lilydale and Pakenham in the ERBR Men’s Fours. Pakenham picked up a 3 then a 5 to lead 8 love after two ends. By the 7th end the score was 13 to 1. But as always the strong Lilydale side started their campaign, picking up another 1, then a 2 to be 13 – 4 on end 9.
Lilydale continued their assault and had reached 11 on the 13th end. Pakenham finally stopped the score, picking up a 1 on the 14th end. The last end was as exciting and tense as those before it. Pakenham were 4 down, Google drew to get shot. Josh just missed with his first bowl, Neville added a shot, Josh’s last bowl just failed to get shot.
Commiserations to Lilydale, it was a great come back by the team of Josh Sanders, Cam Laird, CJ Snary, Rod Nicholson.
